Motor vehicle injuries are the leading cause of death among children in the U.S. Child safety seats reduce the risk of death in passenger cars by 71% for infants, and by 54% for toddlers ages 1 to 4 years.

Car Seat Check

Drive-in to receive personal instruction about car seat use and installation from certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians (CPSTs). We offer two types of services for parents who live in Georgia at this location: Car Seat Check & Car Seat Replacement. Call the Appointment Line (706) 321-6183 for qualification criteria.

**if car seat is determined by CPST to be inappropriate for child, unsafe, or on a recall, parent has the option to purchase a seat from Safe Kids at a reduced price if child is 8 weeks post delivery or older.

If you have already delivered:
You have 8 weeks after you deliver to take the hospital class. If you
have passed the 8 weeks post delivery period, sign up for the Inspection
Station Car Seat Class.

Annual Booster Seat Give Away

The Booster Seat Give Away is a community safety fair specifically targeting child passenger safety for children ages 4-8 years old. Drive-in with your child to receive personal instruction about booster seat use and installation from certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians (CPSTs). Boosters are given out at a reduced cost while supplies last. Child must meet weight and height requirements for booster. Child and parent must be present.
